The New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services issued an alert this week to Orange County residents regarding the residency of 58-year-old Dale Storms, who has moved from First Street in Newburgh to Black Bear Ridge in Port Jervis.
The Division of Criminal Justice Services has assigned Storms as a level two threat, which means he is at "moderate risk of a repeat offense."
According to the Division of Criminal Justice Services, Storms had deviate sexual intercourse, sexual contact with his victim - who was not a stranger - and he was in possession of child porn when he was arrested by state police in Dec. 1996. Storms was convicted of first-degree course of sexual contact against a child in September 2004 and sentenced to a term of 162 months in state prison. Storms is now under the jurisdiction of the Port Jervis Police Department.
